Crime Festival Journal: Bloody Scotland 2017 @BloodyScotland

September 12, 2017

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to make my first-ever trip to Scotland for Bloody Scotland 2017, a fantastic annual crime festival held in Stirling! Bloody Scotland brings together authors from Scotland, across the UK, and around the world for a weekend of crime fiction panels, events, torchlight processions (seriously!), and much, much more. In this post, you’ll find a day-by-day recap of my time in Scotland, including my top book recommendations from the weekend, recaps of author interviews and panels, and lots of photos!

August 15, 2017

I’m eagerly counting down the days until I make my first trip to Scotland for Bloody Scotland 2017! I’ll be packing my bags and hitting the road for this festival in early September, and I can’t wait to cover the festival on CBTB. In preparation for Bloody Scotland 2017, I’m thrilled to share a Q&A with Bob McDevitt, Director of the festival! In our Q&A, Bob shares a bit of background information about Bloody Scotland, recommends Scottish crime fiction authors, and much more. Many thanks to Bob for graciously taking the time to answer my questions!

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of appearing in conversation with New York Times bestselling author Fiona Barton at Barnes & Noble Eastchester to discuss her newest psychological thriller, THE CHILD. Many thanks to Fiona for answering my questions - I was thrilled to participate in her US tour for THE CHILD!
