Author Interview: Lars Kepler, THE SANDMAN

March 11, 2018

I’m absolutely thrilled to share today’s interview with CBTB readers! Lars Kepler is the author behind the internationally-bestselling Joona Linna series - and this week, their brilliant thriller THE SANDMAN releases in the US. From the moment I first started reading THE SANDMAN by Lars Kepler (Knopf; 3/6/18) in the fall of 2017, I knew it would be a strong contender for my favorite read of 2018… and I stand by that first impression! Today's interview discusses everything from the book's vivid characters to the research that went into writing this dark thriller - and a whole lot more.

Nordic Noir Author Interview: David Lagercrantz

September 23, 2017

If there’s one series that has become synonymous with Scandinavian crime fiction for American readers, it’s the late Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series. Launched with the infamous THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, these books - and their leading lady, Lisbeth Salander - flung open the doors for Nordic Noir in the US. In the wake of Larsson’s passing, Swedish author David Lagercrantz has carried on writing Lisbeth’s story - and today, the newest series installment THE GIRL WHO TAKES AN EYE FOR AN EYE releases in the US! It’s my absolute pleasure to share that I was asked to interview David Lagercrantz for The Big Thrill, the website of the International Thriller Writers Organization - and that interview is now live!

Nordic Noir Author Q&A: Vidar Sundstøl, THE DEVIL'S WEDDING RING

September 23, 2017

I’m absolutely thrilled to share a Q&A with Norwegian crime writer Vidar Sundstøl, whose forthcoming crime book THE DEVIL’S WEDDING RING was an instant hit for me! Sundstøl is a masterful writer, and I can highly recommend THE DEVIL’S WEDDING RING for Scandinavian crime fiction fans looking to embrace something a little bit different, and totally engrossing. In this Q&A, Sundstøl covers everything from the inspiration for THE DEVIL’S WEDDING RING to his deep connection to his home, to the crime-solving librarian who plays a significant role in this outstanding crime read.

Nordic Noir Q&A: Emelie Schepp, Author of MARKED FOR REVENGE

September 23, 2017

I'm thrilled to share my second Q&A with Emelie Schepp, Swedish crime author of the Jana Berzelius series! This Q&A covers Book 2 in Schepp's series, MARKED FOR REVENGE, which releases 2/28/17 from MIRA Books. If you're looking for a Scandinavian book recommendation that has action, timely social issues, and a driving plot, Schepp's series might be perfect for you.
