Wintry Mysteries & Thrillers for Your End-Of-Year TBR

November 24, 2020

Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with a crime book. For me personally, my holiday break from work is always my time to dig into some slow-burning and immersive detective novels—there’s nothing more blissful to me than a quiet morning cozied up under a blanket, sipping some coffee, and reading a murder mystery while the snow falls outside. If that sounds like your idea of a perfect winter morning too, today’s blog post is for you! In today’s blog post, I’ve rounded up a whole bunch of mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels with wintertime vibes for your end-of-2020 reading list! Whether you’re in the mood for chilling psychological suspense, Nordic Noir, or a good old fashioned detective story, there’s a little something for everyone in this reading list. (I’m even sharing one of the books I bought for myself this year at the end of the list, too!) So grab your coziest blanket, put on a pot of coffee, and dig in to find your perfect winter read.

It’s such a pleasure to welcome crime writer Camilla Grebe to CBTB today to discuss her brand-new mystery, AFTER SHE’S GONE, which went on sale earlier this week! AFTER SHE’S GONE is a smart, timely piece of Scandinavian crime fiction - a story both entertaining and thought-provoking. CBTB's Most-Anticipated Crime Books of Early 2019

January 10, 2019

Dear crime readers: we have so much to look forward to in 2019. Whether you’re a reader of psychological thrillers, Nordic Noir, Gothic suspense, police procedurals, or anything (and everything!) in between, 2019 has some amazing reads in store for you. My biggest problem at the moment is just that I have no idea how I’m going to make time to read all of them! But, to that end, and to hopefully help all of us (myself included!) pace ourselves and not overlook any promising books along the way, I’ve decided to keep today’s Most-Anticipated list focused on new crime fiction from January 2019 through March 2019. But not to worry: I will be sharing additional “most anticipated” lists throughout the year, too! Without further ado, let’s dive on in to my picks for Most-Anticipated Crime Books of Early 2019!
